Recorded in Spring 2001 at Burnt Chrome Studios in Phoenix, produced by 32 Leaves vocalist Greg Norris, Ignis is the self-titled debut (and only) release from Ignis.

Writing for the record began in the fall of 2000, and somewhere around 25 songs were written. Ignis selected (11) tracks from these writing sessions for the album. Recording and mixing began in early February 2001 at Burnt Chrome, and lasted around 50 hours (remarkably fast for a record). The album was then mastered at SAE Mastering in Phoenix at the beginning of March 2001.

Artwork for the album was created between March-May of 2001, with the assistance of Jason Degraff (Degraffix). There were several versions of the artwork, and much debate, but when the finished product arrived in the mail, the band was pleased with the end result.

The album was never officially released, as the band parted ways just prior to the release date (see history), but the album was sold in Zia Records stores and at live shows.

On this site the music remains for the old fans and new fans to enjoy...
